Roberta Nixon, MSN-ed, FNP-C

I have been in the medical field since 1989, starting my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004, and continued my education becoming a Registered Nurse in 2005. After 8 years as an RN, I went on to earn my master’s degree in nursing education in 2012. I have experience in many areas including phlebotomy, Labor & Delivery, medical floor, cardiac, ICU, clinical instructor, and wound care. I am also certified in wound/ostomy care.

I love caring for patients, but I also wanted to continue my education, so I achieved my Advanced Practice degree in Primary Care in 2019 so that I can continue to do what I love. Primary Care is challenging, and I am constantly learning and improving my practice.

On a personal note, I am currently engaged to a wonderful man and will be getting married in 2021. I love dogs and currently have two fur babies that keep me busy. My Fiancée and I enjoy camping, ATV riding, playing poker, going to the beach and hanging out with friends, family and our grandchildren.
